Jacqueline J. Wiggins

As an educator, Jacqueline has taught at the elementary, secondary, and college levels in public, charter, and parochial schools. She has worked in school administration focusing on student services to include discipline, test administration, and high school placement. She has taught and served as a School Based Teacher Leader and Instructional Specialist for the School District of Philadelphia at the high school level providing Professional Development to teachers and as an adjunct faculty member in the English department at the Community College of Philadelphia.
She has been a consultant, board member, or advisor to the following agencies and organizations: The Philadelphia Fatherhood Initiative, The Cobbs Creek Community Environmental Education Center, The West Philadelphia Cultural Alliance/Paul Robeson House Museum, the Germantown Historical Society, and the Columbia-North YMCA. She served on the Black History Advisory Committee of PHMC (Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission) for two terms.
In 2001, Jacqueline created an enrichment program called Underground Railroad Camps for Children, Youth, and Families. The program focuses on the under told story of the Underground Railroad and the significance of the people, places, and events that helped to shape and make real the word “freedom” in our society. In 2008, her camp became a member of the Network to Freedom Program of the National Park Service. In 2009, Jacqueline opened her tourism business called Wiggins Tours and More. Jacqueline received from Pennsylvania State University her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a minor in English & Journalism. She received from the University of Massachusetts her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration.
