Leslie K. Carter

Leslie Karen Carter is treasurer of Intergenerational Community Alliance (ICAP, Inc) 501 C3. Leslie is a detailed oriented organized individual, a trait she picked up from her mother. Leslie is a member of Vine Memorial Baptist Church where she is involved in the hospitality, archives, newsletter and previously the media ministry. Her early career was in education where she taught English and history for the Upward Bound program.
She was a paralegal for Aramark corporation specializing in vendor contracts. The travel bug bit her and she used her people and customer service skills as a flight attendant (Eastern Airlines) and travel consultant for American Express. She managed domestic and international travel for major corporate clients and coordinated special events, projects, and business meetings for high level senior management.
After 911, Leslie became the executive assistant and office manager for former Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown. For almost twenty years she maintained the daily operations and procedures of the office, staff orientations, Councilwoman’s daily schedule, public appearances, speaking engagements, meeting with constituents and day to day administrative tasks. She retired from the Office of the Mayor where she was executive assistant to the Chief of Staff. Leslie currently serves as consultant for nonprofits Solid Rock and New Foundation and Board member for Grace and Style Dance studio. She loves art, music, and is an avid reader, writer, and editor.
